Diversity and Inclusion

The Astrophysics Research Centre (ARC) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, is a welcoming, inclusive and safe space for everyone, regardless of gender, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or disability. Staff and students can study, work and live in a positive working environment that is free from bullying, harassment, discrimination, hate, and sexual misconduct.

As part of our continuing efforts to address these issues, we have our code of conduct listed below which would be mandatory for each new member of ARC to sign and adhere to. Anyone who experiences or witnesses an incident will be taken seriously and will be supported.

Please be aware that the D&I support at ARC is complementary to the existing Diversity Management resources at UKZN.

If you want to take part in any of these free programmes, or would like to develop some new activity with us, contact us.
